Terms of Service
Effective date: September 9, 2026
Template notice: This is a standard starting-point Terms of Service, provided as a placeholder so Admitizen has a functioning legal page before launch. It has not been reviewed by an attorney and should be reviewed by qualified legal counsel, tailored to your business entity, jurisdiction, and specific data practices, before being relied on in production.
1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or using Admitizen (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you are a parent or guardian creating an account on behalf of a student, you represent that you have the authority to agree to these Terms for your family.
2. Description of the Service
Admitizen is a project-management tool that helps families organize college application timelines, essays, recommendation-letter requests, and related tasks. Some features use third-party AI providers to generate suggestions, feedback, or draft text. AI-generated content may be inaccurate or incomplete and should always be reviewed before use in an actual application.
3. Accounts and eligibility
- You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login credentials confidential.
- Student accounts are intended for use under a parent or guardian's family account. If a student is under the age of 13, a parent or guardian must create and manage the account on the student's behalf.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to submit false or fraudulent information to any college or institution.
- Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Service.
- Use the Service to harass, defame, or infringe the rights of any other person.
- Resell, sublicense, or provide access to the Service to anyone outside your family account.
5. Content ownership
You retain ownership of the essays, tasks, notes, and other content you create in Admitizen (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service for you.
6. AI-generated content
Where enabled, Admitizen uses third-party AI models to generate essay feedback, recommendation-request drafts, and similar suggestions. This content is provided “as-is” for brainstorming and drafting assistance only. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying the accuracy and originality of any content before submitting it as part of a real college application.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Admitizen does not guarantee admission outcomes, deadline accuracy for any specific institution, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. You are responsible for independently verifying all deadlines and requirements directly with each college.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Admitizen and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including missed deadlines or application outcomes.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be sent to the contact address provided in your Admitizen account or on our website.
